Nissan has revealed the all-new, sixth-generation Micra — now reimagined as a fully electric vehicle.
Set to go on sale in Europe later this year, the new Micra EV marks a bold shift from its traditionally cute design, adopting a more SUV-inspired look.

Designed at Nissan Design Europe (NDE) in London, the Micra EV features LED daytime running lights encircling the main headlamps, which perform a choreographed “welcome wink” when the car is unlocked — a light pulse moving from left to right and back.
The same sequence plays in reverse as a “farewell” when the car is locked. At the rear, the taillamps feature elegant circular LED elements, complemented by bold Nissan lettering on a black trim across the tailgate.

All variants will ride on 18-inch wheels with three designs available: “Active” wheel covers, and “Iconic” and “Sport” alloy wheels.
Buyers can choose from 14 body colours, including dual-tone options with black or grey roofs.

Built on the AmpR platform — shared with the Renault 5 EV — the new Micra measures under 4 metres long and less than 1.8 metres wide, with a 2,540 mm wheelbase.

Inside, it boasts twin 10.1-inch digital displays for the instrument cluster and infotainment.
Hidden design details include a Mount Fuji outline moulded into the central storage space.
Boot space stands at 326 litres.

Two battery options will be offered:
• A 40 kWh pack with 120 BHP, 225 Nm torque, and 308 km range
• A 52 kWh pack with 147 BHP, 245 Nm torque, and 408 km range

The 40 kWh version supports 80 kW DC fast charging, while the 52 kWh variant allows up to 100 kW.
Both can charge from 15% to 80% in around 30 minutes.
A Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) feature is also included.
