Isa bin Faisal clinches HM King’s Cup

His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa of Team Victorious achieved first place in the 160km race of races of HM the King Endurance Festival yesterday.
The second place was taken by the rider Mohammed Abdulsamad Al Bastaki of Al Ruood Team while Michaela Supekova of Team Victorious took third.
His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Faisal deservedly won the race after clocking 6 hours, 35 minutes and 47 seconds, almost three seconds ahead of the runner-up, and two minutes of the third place winner.
In the private stables race of 120km, the first place was won by the rider Nasser Hamad Al Qahtani of the RM Team, while the second place was taken by the rider Hamad Ismail Al Balushi of Ajyal Stables.
Third place was secured by the rider Maha Ali Mohammed of Al Muharraq Equestrian Academy.
The grand races of HM the King Endurance Festival took place yesterday as part of the Royal patronage bestowed upon equestrian sports in the Kingdom by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and in the presence of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs and Honourary President of Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF), and His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the General Sports Authority and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee.
The final day of the festival was attended by a number of Their Highnesses, Excellencies, and officials.
His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa crowned the champions of His Majesty the King’s International Endurance Cup.
Commenting after the event, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa expressed his gratitude and appreciation to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for His Majesty’s royal patronage of endurance races.
He affirmed that His Majesty the King Endurance Festival is considered an icon of local championships and the gateway for equestrians to achieve major victories.
His Highness also expressed his appreciation to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for his support and the continuous vision of the government in supporting endurance sports in particular.
His Highness congratulated the winners of the first places in all the festival’s races, praising the efforts of the Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF) in the excellent organisation of the festival.
