Bahrain volleyball giants Dar Kulaib wrapped up their preliminary round campaign in the first West Asia Men’s Club Championship in Amman last night with a resounding victory over Shabab Al Hussein of Jordan.

The Bahraini representatives exerted their dominance to come away with a 3-0 (25-23, 25- 22, 25-21) clean sweep of their rivals, earning them their third win in four matches.

Argentinean professional Juan Barrera scores 12 points to spearhead their team in the contest. Dar Kulaib will now be looking to maintain their winning ways in the quarter-finals.

Dar Kulaib had previously triumphed against Shabab Nabi Ilyas from Palestine in their first assignment in Group B, but then lost to Al Rayyan of Qatar in their follow-up game.

They then bounced back against South Gas SC of Iraq, and then closed this stage out with their comfortable win yesterday against the Jordanians.

Dar Kulaib finished as runners-up in their pool behind only Rayyan, who were undefeated in four games.
