Bahraini women face must-win tonight

Bahrain’s women’s national football team face a must-win tonight against Chinese Taipei in their final Group A qualifying match for a place in the AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2022.
The Bahrainis drew their first game last week 0-0 against Laos.
Chinese Taipei beat Laos 4-0 in their clash, and are now atop their group.
The Bahrainis need to defeat Chinese Taipei to finish in the first place and earn their place in next year’s AFC Women’s Asian Cup finals, which are to take place in India.
Any other outcome would eliminate them from contention.
Tonight’s match is scheduled for a 6 pm kick-off at the Khalifa Sports City Stadium in Isa Town. The Bahrainis are making their first appearance in these qualifiers.
