Austin Ogukwa set to make Najma debut

Al Najma have completed the registration of Nigerian-American import Austin Ogukwa, making him available for tonight’s Game 2 in the semi-final series of the Zain Bahrain Basketball League.
Ogukwa joins Najma after a season with Sitra, where he was the standout performer despite the team missing out on premier division survival. He delivered several eye-catching scoring displays in Sitra’s relegation play-offs, including a 52-point game and a 44-point effort in Game 2, proving his ability to perform under pressure.
Najma currently lead the series 1–0 following a dramatic 78–76 win over the record champions Manama, with Donovan Smith’s late put-back deciding the opener. Ogukwa’s arrival adds a new offensive dimension to Najma and strengthens their chances of extending their advantage in the best-of-five semi-final, which remains wide open.
