Sports Day Meet 2025-26 @ NMS Bahrain

Amidst great enthusiasm and vibrant energy, The New Millennium School, Bahrain, celebrated the opening of its Annual Sports Day meet for students of Grades VII to XII on 13th December 2025. The event reflected the school’s strong commitment to fostering sportsmanship and encouraging physical fitness among its students.

The sports meet, which will continue for KG to Grades VI until January 2026, was formally inaugurated by the Principal, Dr. Arun Kuumar Sharma, whose motivating address highlighted the vital role of sports in developing both physical strength and mental resilience. The programme commenced with the Sports Captain administering the Sportsmanship Oath, reaffirming the ideals of fairness, discipline and integrity.

Students participated enthusiastically in a wide range of track and field events. The track events included 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m races and relays, while the field events featured shot put, long jump and triple jump. Each competition was marked by high energy, determination and commendable performances.

Prizes were distributed after each event, adding to the excitement and motivation among the participants. A major highlight of the day was the announcement of the Best House March Past Award and the Individual Championship Awards for the academic year 2025–26, which drew thunderous applause from the audience. Mandela House proudly won the House March Past Trophy. For Grades VII and VIII, Arjun Padmanaban (VIII E) and Jerestine Sanjana (VIIIA) received the Individual Championship awards for boys and girls respectively. In the senior category (Grades IX to XII), Aditya Bajaj (XI F) and Disha Mangalpadi (IX C) emerged as the Individual Champions.

Chairman Dr. Ravi Pillai and Managing Director Ms. Geetha Pillai commended the school for its consistent efforts in integrating sports into holistic education and emphasized the enduring value of sportsmanship in an increasingly competitive world.
