BSPTI hails efforts of HRH Crown Prince and Prime Minister to boost Bahrain’s economy

The Bahrain Society of Private Training Institutes hailed the efforts of HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in developing Bahraini national cadres within the framework of Bahrain Vision 2030 to make Bahrainis a first option in the labour market.

Nawaf Mohammed Al Jishi, the Chairman of the Bahrain Society of Private Training Institutes, stressed Bahrain’s success in conquering the Corona epidemic, thanking the leadership and the unity of the whole population.

“Training institutes took the responsibility of preparing national cadres and ensuring their readiness to enter the labour market and actively contribute to economic growth, while also benefiting from initiatives of “Tamkeen” and the “Foras” Programme, Hope Fund, Business Incubators and more,” Al Jishi said.

Al Jishi expressed his optimism about Bahrain’s continued economic recovery and returning to pre-pandemic figures, citing the growth of real GDP by 5.7% during the second quarter of 2021 compared to the same quarter of 2020, 3.5% quarterly from the first quarter of 2021, and 20.7% growth of the nominal GDP on an annual basis and 6.4% quarterly.

“This period may be sensitive for we are experiencing an economic “bottleneck” because of the pandemic’s expenditures and the government’s large financial support, but what bodes well is the return of performance to previous levels with the improvement in oil pricesand the government’s determination to achieve fiscal balance,” Al Jishi said.
