Emirates, dnata Donate 430 Repurposed Strollers to UAE Non-Profits
Emirates Airline and dnata have joined forces with local non-profit organisations to donate more than 400 repurposed baby strollers to families and children in need across the UAE.
The initiative brought together multiple teams, including Emirates Airport Services and Emirates Engineering, along with dnata’s employee-led programme dnata4good, to refurbish and distribute 430 strollers that were previously used at Dubai International Airport.
The strollers, commonly used by families travelling through Terminal 3, were part of Emirates’ customer service offering. After the airline introduced 1,000 new units in late 2025, older models were set aside for repurposing rather than disposal.
Emirates Engineering teams refurbished the strollers, making minor modifications and adding a signature tag created from recycled materials, while maintaining high safety and quality standards. The items were then thoroughly cleaned and sanitised before distribution.
Through dnata4good, the strollers were allocated to three UAE-based organisations: Hope Amel UAE, Senses Residential and Day Care for Special Needs, and Al Noor Rehabilitation & Welfare Association.
Each organisation plans to use the strollers in different ways, including supporting single mothers, assisting students with mobility needs, and facilitating transportation during school activities and outings.
The initiative highlights a broader commitment by Emirates and dnata to sustainability and community support, combining recycling efforts with social impact. By extending the lifecycle of high-quality equipment, the programme also reflects growing efforts within the aviation sector to reduce waste while contributing to local communities.
Officials said the collaboration underscores the importance of corporate responsibility and volunteer-driven initiatives in addressing community needs and promoting inclusive support systems across the UAE.
