Netflix Makes All-Cash Bid for Warner Bros. Discovery
California: Netflix has revised its bid for Warner Bros. Discovery, offering an all-cash deal in a move aimed at strengthening its position against Paramount’s rival takeover attempt. Under the amended plan, Netflix will pay $27.75 per share for WBD’s movie studio and streaming assets, including Warner Bros. and HBO, abandoning its earlier mix of cash and stock.
WBD executives say the all-cash offer provides greater certainty for shareholders and accelerates a vote on the deal, expected this spring. Paramount, which has offered $30 per share and threatened a proxy fight, continues to challenge the valuation
