Zain Bahrain announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with the NextGen Board initiative, a corporate initiative established by the Labour Fund “Tamkeen” for its young employees, as part of joint efforts to introduce a series of sustainable environmental activities at “Tamkeen” led by NextGen Board.
The MoU seeks to promote environmental sustainability and support green practices at “Tamkeen”, reflecting both institutions’ commitment to actively contributing to the achievement of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s Sustainable Development Goals.
Through this MoU, the “NextGen Board” aims to benefit from Zain Bahrain’s extensive expertise in sustainability. Zain Bahrain is recognized as a pioneer in sustainability reporting for more than a decade and has consistently demonstrated a deep committment to integrating environmental responsibility across its operations, while maintaining transparency in showcasing its achievements in alignment with national and sustainability goals.
The NextGen Board brings together a distinguished group of Tamkeen employees under the age of 30. Its members will lead several initiatives designed to enhance innovation and creativity across the Labour Fund, with a focus on two core projects: sustainability and social responsibility. Their role will also include capacity-building through training and involvement in management discussions, ensuring they effectively represent the perspectives of the youth.
