Bahrain Civil Defense conducts inspection of industrial sites

The Protection and Safety Department of the General Administration of Civil Defense executed a targeted inspection plan in line with a proactive approach to bolster public safety and preventive measures across vital and industrial sectors.
The focus was on industrial sites engaged in chemical activities, aiming to ensure adherence to stringent safety protocols. During the inspection visit, the department meticulously reviewed public safety requirements and preventive measures.
Special attention was given to the implementation of standards for handling hazardous materials, considering their nature, characteristics, and potential risks. The effectiveness of security and safety devices, alarm systems, as well as the presence of adequate fire-fighting systems and equipment, were also scrutinized.
The General Administration of Civil Defense remains committed to emphasizing the imperative of following appropriate standards in these industrial sites.
