Coexistence, cooperation key for thriving: Bahrain King

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa yesterday praised the peaceful, disciplined, and well-organised conduct of the Ashura commemoration, hailing Bahrain as an "oasis of brotherhood and peace." HM King said that the commemoration this year was marked by the highest levels of discipline and organisation, a fact that underscores Bahrain’s open and cohesive society.

HM King emphasised that Bahrain stands as an oasis of brotherhood and peace, a testament to the sectarian pluralism embraced by Bahraini society. HM also acknowledged religious freedom as one of the most prominent pillars of Bahrain.

He further stressed that today’s world has no other way but coexistence and cooperation for all people to thrive.

In this regard, HM extended his gratitude to all individuals and concerned authorities for their responsible actions and awareness during this important occasion.

HM commended the efforts of all competent institutions and agencies, citing particularly the Ministry of Interior, the Jaffari Endowments Council, heads of community centres (Ma’atams), supervising committees, field work teams, and volunteers.

His Majesty also lauded the tireless and integrated efforts of government agencies that played a crucial role in facilitating the smooth commemoration of Ashura.

Separately, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, highlighted Bahrain’s strong social fabric and expressed his pride in His Majesty the King’s recognition of the government’s efforts to prepare for a successful Ashura.

In this regard, HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister emphasised that the ministries and government agencies are committed to implementing the directives of His Majesty the King to preserve the strength of the Kingdom’s united community.

HRH Prince Salman commended the efforts of the government authorities, led by the Ministry of Interior and the Jaffari Endowments Council, as well as the heads of Ma’atams and Hussainias, supervising committees, and volunteers, for their joint cooperation and commitment to ensuring a successful Ashura.
