On this glorious day of Independence, Pakistan School wishes all fellow compatriots in Bahrain, a happy Independence Day. Let’s refresh and remember the great sacrifices of the martyrs who laid down their lives for a free Pakistan. We are happy to present a synopsis of Pakistan School, Bahrain on this joyous occasion. The history of Pakistan School goes back to the 60’s when the leading visionary members of the community realized the need for a schooling system for their children, leading to the establishment of a small primary school in 1968 in a rented building in Fariq Fadil area of Manama. After a few years the school was upgraded to secondary level education following affiliation with the Federal Board, Islamabad, Pakistan.

In 1984, the new campus of the Pakistan School was constructed in Isa town, which was inaugurated by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier. Two new blocks, Jinnah Block and Sir Sayyed Block were constructed in the Isa town campus, between 1994-95. Today Pakistan school has two wings, Manama (Primary) and the main campus Isa Town. Besides Pakistanis, the school is delivering education to more than 2000 students from 20 different nationalities. Pakistan School has laid down a well-defined and practical network of extra and co-curricular activities for the personality and the character building of students. These activities are conducted on inter class, inter house and inter school levels. Pakistani students have been performing tremendously in the Bahrain level sports, academic and cultural activities.

Under the loyal, competent and dedicated leadership of the sitting Board of Management, Pakistan school has achieved many distinctive landmarks over the last five years in academic and administrative areas. Pakistan School’s Federal Board results have shown consistent and impressive improvements over the last five years and this year Board exam results of SSC declared in the first week of August 2022, are no exception.

The outstanding result for the session 2022 is as follows:

• Aisha Tariq, Roll Number 1538666 secured the first position by securing 1080 out of 1100 with 98 % marks.

• Shahzadi Eman, Roll Number 1538660 secured the second position by securing 1069 out of 1100 with 97 % marks.

• M. Hamza Saleem, Roll Number 1053257 secured the third position by securing 1055 out of 1100 with 95.91 % marks. 22 students received ‘A+’, and 22 ‘A’. It is noteworthy that the said examination was conducted after three years by the Federal Board due to Covid-19. Schools conducted classes inconsistently due to the fluctuating and uncertain situations of Covid-19. Pakistan School maintained an uninterrupted quality of education despite all the Covid-19 challenges.

The following strategies were devised:

●Exam-oriented teaching strategies with a number of tests at frequent intervals.

●All the Monthly Tests, MidTerm, Send Up and Pre-Board examinations were SLO’s-based wherein SLO’S-BASED examination was profoundly explained to the students through on-thespot guidance and many other concerted efforts. Moreover, SLO’S-BASED examination was explained to students through presentations and targeted guidance.

OMR sheet and E-Sheets were used in all the Mid-Term, Send Up and Pre-Board examinations so that students have familiarity with these and be able to attempt the FBISE exams effectively. Apart from Academic achievements, the school’s financial status is now reliable and stable.

The school system is fully automated to enhance performance in the spheres of academics, administration and student data compilation. Solid academic planning and performance have led to an increase in admissions resulting in the establishment of additional facilities and construction of new class rooms. Pakistan School has earned a name of its own for participation in the national, cultural and social festivals to strengthen the bond of its deep love and affiliation with Bahrain.

Students who excel in the Board exams are awarded scholarships, while the school spends thousands of Bahraini Dinars for fee concession to support the most deserving and financially backward students.

The sole aim of Pakistan school is to create a new generation inculcating in them qualities needed to be visionaries to lead their country in the future. 75th Pakistan Independence Day celebrations are being planned at school premises with great enthusiasm and unrelenting spirit of patriotism. We earnestly pray for the safety of all the Bahraini citizens and residents and wish a very happy and prosperous future to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
