Bahraini jailed for drug sale
ABahraini man, who sold two heroin cigarettes to an undercover police officer, has been sentenced for 10 years in prison. He was also fined BD5,000 by the High Criminal Court.
On a tip-off about the man’s illicit activities, the anti-drug department at police conducted a sting operation and nabbed him red-handed.
The officer in plain clothes contacted the defendant and requested for two heroine cigarettes for BD20. The duo later met in Buri, while police officers were surveying them. He was arrested as soon as he handed over the illicit drugs to the undercover agent. Police officers raided his house and seized 13 heroin cigarettes.
