HM King names new LMRA CEO, BACA president, UPDA CEO & Undersecretaries

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa named Noof Abdulrahman Jamsheer yesterday as the Chief Executive Officer of the Labour Market Regulatory Authority. The appointment, as per Royal Decree (34) of 2022 and valid for three years, is effective immediately. The Labour Minister will implement the provisions of this decree.
The appointment was one of the several made yesterday by HM King, including that of undersecretaries to various ministries and other top positions. The series of appointments also gave the tender board a new Secretary-General. As per Royal Decree (33) of 2022, Jamal Abdulaziz Abdulghaffar Al-Alawi will now serve as the Secretary-General of the Tender Board. The appointment is effective immediately.
In another order, HM King named Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed bin Abdulla Al Khalifa as President of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities. The order, which takes effect immediately, will be implemented by HRH Prime Minister. HM also made an appointment at the Urban Planning and Development Authority.
Accordingly, Ahmed Abdulaziz Ismail Al-Khayyat will be the new Chief Executive Officer of UPDA, effective immediately. In separate orders, HM King appointed several undersecretaries. Dr Mohammed Ali Bahzad was named Undersecretary for Consular and Administrative Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Mishaal bin Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Khalifa as Undersecretary at the Works Ministry and Osama Saleh Hashim Al-Alawi as National Economy Undersecretary at the Ministry of Finance and National Economy.
