Markets in Bahrain have sufficient stocks of foods, said a top Industry ministry official, who also termed the availability and prices of basic commodities and products as “stable”.
The official also warned stringent actions against those found guilty of price manipulation, monopoly, commercial fraud or any illegal practices. This came as Abdulaziz Al-Ashraf, an Assistant Undersecretary for Control and Resources at the Ministry of Industry, commerce and tourism, held an inspection campaign to ensure price stability and availability of food stock in the markets.

“Traders are keen to ensure goods and products from multiple sources in the market,” he said. Shops, he said, are also providing offers and discounts to all.
