BTEA sponsors Global Youth Tourism Summit participation

Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) has announced that it is sponsoring three Bahrainis to participate in the first Global Youth Tourism Summit (GYTS).
The summit is organised by the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), and is due to take place in Sorrento, Italy from the June 27 until July 3.
The meeting brings together youth from around the world, to discuss visions and hopes for the tourism sector.
The BTEA said that the candidates, Sara Janahi, Zainab Ibrahim and Saud Sherida were chosen to represent the Kingdom after a rigorous selection process that took into account several factors, including activities and projects related to the national tourism sector.
BTEA’s CEO Dr. Nasser Qaedi expressed confidence in the ability of these young Bahrainis to represent Bahrain in this global summit, as well as interact with tourism industry leaders worldwide and learn more about the role that tourism plays in national economic development.
Qaedi affirmed that BTEA will continue to empower youth, listen to their ideas and integrate them into various programmes to develop Bahrain's tourism sector.
