A Bahraini man who drove two thieves to the location where they planned to rob was acquitted due to a lack of evidence that he was aware of their plan. The defendant is said to have been asked by the suspects to transport them to a nearby mall, where they stole charity boxes.

They were apprehended while attempting to flee with him. The suspect’s lawyer claimed that her client had no idea the two were planning to rob the boxes because he was working as a driver and agreed to transport them to the mall and retrieve them.

“They had already agreed on a price for the transportation, which demonstrates his intent. He saw them fleeing and he had no idea what they had done. The first defendant already admitted to the Public Prosecutors that my client was not involved in the robbery and was unaware of it,” she stated.
