Bahrain first on Nikkei’s COVID-19 Recovery Index

The Kingdom of Bahrain has ranked first on the Nikkei’s COVID-19 Recovery Index.
The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Health Council announced Bahrain’s achievement on its official Twitter account.
“This is an achievement for the Kingdom of Bahrain in particular and the Gulf in general,” it said, describing the ranking as a catalyst move from the phase of addressing the virus to global recovery.
The Nikkei Bahrain Index was adopted on three main pillars – the decrease in the rate of existing cases, the rates of vaccination and the commitment to mandatory precautionary measures.
GCC Health Council Director-general Suleiman Al Dakhil attributed the global achievement to the Bahraini leadership’s unwavering support to protect citizens and residents’ safety during the pandemic.
