Open Track Day to thrill race fans

Race fans from across the Gulf can enjoy an Open Track Day for Cars and Bikes this Friday at Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) in Sakhir. The Open Track is one of the most popular activities offered regularly to the public at the world-class track, where participants may drive their very own cars or motorbikes along the 5.412km Grand Prix track.

Action will be held from 9am until 4pm and those interested in taking part may choose between a full day package, or for just half the day, timings for the half-day drive will be able to choose between the morning session from 9am to 12 noon and the afternoon session from 1pm to 4pm, a single 30-minute drive is also available. Those who book in advance will also get a discount for the full day of half day.

Friends or family members accompanying participants at BIC will also have a chance to be a part of all the action as a passenger in a car. Friday’s activities are run to the highest of international safety standards, although participants will still be able to push their cars or motorbikes to their very limit. All vehicles must first go through scrutineering before being allowed to take to the track.

Those taking part must also own a valid driver’s licence and must be wearing the appropriate clothing along with closed-toe footwear.
