Tamkeen to host consultation session
As part of its efforts to communicate directly with the public and to collect feedback from its various stakeholders, Tamkeen will hold a consultation session on November 3 to discuss its programmes and the priorities for next year.
The session will include participants from all economic sectors and bring together professionals of different levels including business owners, entrepreneurs, executives, job seekers, students and other stakeholders.
Tamkeen’s consultation forum will begin with an overview of its accomplishments in 2015 and will revolve around its efforts to deliver quality, value. It will also discuss the common issues across Tamkeen’s impact assessment studies such as the need for targeted and effective programmes, continuous monitoring and enforcement, increased awareness activities, organisational transparency and enhancing processes.
Specialised sessions will discuss 2016 plans of Tamkeen, which has been aligned with its 2015-2017 strategy.
Tamkeen aims to promote professional growth via improvements to the quality of its programmes and services, ease of accessibility and in providing unique offerings to the private sector and Bahrainis.
Commenting on the announcement, Tamkeen’s Chairman and Acting Chief Executive, Shaikh Mohammed bin Essa Al Khalifa, said, “In 2015, we undertook many steps in line with the feedback we received during our 2014 consultation efforts with the public, the private sector, and other stakeholders.”
“We intend to strengthen Bahrain’s economy and the growth of the private sector by arming the country’s workforce with a versatile skill set to suit their needs and providing resources and advice to businesses across different sectors,” he added.
Shaikh Mohammed also appreciated the continued interest in Tamkeen’s initiatives and emphasised how it will continue to value the opinions of its stakeholders to better serve the development of Bahrain’s private sector, the growth of the Kingdom’s economy and the public as a whole.
