Saudi Arabia plays pivotal role in promoting global peace, economic stability

Saudi Arabia with its noble human values and its moderate policy in establishing a just and comprehensive peace in accordance with the Arab Peace Initiative, the peaceful settlement of regional and international disputes, combating extremism and terrorism, and other initiatives, is a source of immense pride Information Minister Ali bin Mohammed Al Romaihi said.

The Kingdom deserves the appreciation and support of the international community, and the deepening of partnerships in confronting common security risks and addressing the repercussions of the coronavirus pandemic, the minister said, as he denounced the Houthi attacks on the Saudi territory and the unjustified campaigns targeting Saudi Arabia.

In a statement to Saudi daily Okaz, Al Romaihi praised the wise policies of Saudi Arabia under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz and stressed the kingdom's pivotal role in strengthening security, peace and stability in the region and across the world.

The minister affirmed the support of Bahrain and the Arab and Islamic world, at the levels of governments, peoples and organizations, with Saudi Arabia in the face of any negative media campaigns.

Any attempts to undermine the kingdom's sovereignty, security and independence of its judiciary or abuse of its honorable human rights record in establishing justice, integrity and transparency are rejected, he said.

Saudi Arabia is a strong country thanks to the wisdom of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and his Crown Prince, the cohesion of its people and the support of more than a billion and a half billion Muslims in appreciation of its spiritual standing and genuine stances in supporting Islam and Muslims and helping developing countries, he said.

There is also among them pride in its wise diplomatic approach as a beacon of tolerance, moderation and the establishment of international relations on the basis of friendship, mutual respect, refusal to interfere in the affairs of other countries.

Saudi Arabia has also won international praise and gratitude for its leading contributions to strengthening global security and economic stability with its successful presidency of the G20, its leadership within OPEC and regional and international organizations, and its sacrifices in preserving Arab and Islamic security from extremist terrorist organizations, the minister added.
