Leaders shower praise on HRH Prime Minister

Bahrain’s leading status in ICT and the success of the e-Government project that reflected positively on the citizens’ living standards are fruitful outcomes of the efforts of the Government of Bahrain, under the leadership of Prime Minister His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, Parliament Chairman Ahmed Al Mulla stated.
Al Mulla has extended sincere congratulations to HRH the Prime Minister on being granted the Information and Communication Technology in Sustainable Development Award by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) during a special ceremony held at the UN headquarters in New York, in the presence of high-profile delegations and ITU senior officials.
The prestigious ITU Award adds to HRH the Prime Minister’s rich record of milestone achievements that prove his landmark contributions to the nation’s development, Al Mulla said.
He stressed that the top global honour conferred on HRH the Premier, the first of its kind to be granted to an Arab Prime Minister, is a source of pride for all Bahrainis.
Muharraq Governor Salman bin Isa bin Hindi said that the Award was the fruitful result of the openness policy adopted by the kingdom since the launch of the Reform Project spearheaded by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
Speaking on behalf of the Muharraq citizens, the Governor said that the prestigious award reflected the entire world’s interest in HRH the Prime Minister’s achievements for his dedicated people.
His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa received a cable of congratulations from President of Bahrain Charity Society dignitary Mubarak Jassim Kanoo as well as board members, all active committees and the executive directorate on being granted the Information and Communication Technology in Sustainable Development Award by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).
HRH Premier also received a cable of congratulations from National Action Charter Society Politburo Chief Ahmed Juma’a and Fuad Hussein Shuweitar.
