‘Akhand Path’ set to be held

The Sikh community in the Kingdom will be organising a three-day event ‘Akhand Path’ at Gulf Air Club in Salmabad from November 13 to 15.

The event coincides with the commemoration of 550th birth anniversary of Sikhism founder Guru Nanak. Sikh Community of Bahrain will organise the event. Over 1,000 devotees are expected to attend the religious event, where ‘Guru Ka Langar’ will be served to them.

According to the organising committee, the ‘Ragi Jatha’ from India will also be part of the Kirtan ritual and related celebrations. ‘Akhand Path’ is the common practise of continuous recitation, without any break, of sacred religious texts in Sikhism.
