The service is in line with CIO’s keenness in upgrading its services to save time and efforts of the beneficiaries.
The new service is based on CIO’s conviction that achieving the customers’ satisfaction is the only success indicator, CIO President Dr. Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Amer said.
He noted the move is in line with the directives of the Interior Minister Lieutenant-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa for ensuring easy transactions for the beneficiaries of CIO services.
The service is within the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between CIO and the Bahrain Post to deliver identity cards to the address specified by the applicant while filling in the application form online, Al Amer added.
The service is optional, as applicants can choose whether to report personally to CIO or to receive their identity cards at the specified address.
In case they choose the second option, they will have to select “post” and then provide delivery information including name, address and telephone number of the recipient.
