Expat woman killed in road accident

Manama : A 43-year-old expatriate woman was killed in a car accident yesterday. 

The deceased in the accident has been  identified as Camille Jones Parsons, a Canadian who formerly worked for a media firm in the Kingdom. 

The incident took place early yesterday morning on Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Al Highway heading towards Hamad Town. 

“The woman was driving a Toyota Yaris,  on the right-hand lane. Due to some reason, she got out of her car. During that time a speeding car, Toyota R-4 which was being driven by an Arab man, hit the woman. She was killed on the spot instantly,” said an onlooker.

Ministry of Interior further confirmed the incident on their twitter handle stating, “Death of a woman, 43, in a traffic accident on Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman highway towards Hamad Town near Al Qadam area. Necessary steps are being taken. “
