Postal Building in Hidd nearing completion
Manama : Construction works of the Postal Items-Sorting Building in Hidd are nearing completion with more than 76 per cent works already completed, said Works Minister.
The facility, the Minister said, will be used for sorting as well as customs clearance of postal packages.
“The BD2,568,800 project in the industrial area in Hidd comprises of a two-storey building on an area of 10,907 square metres,” said Essam Khalaf, the Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Minister.
The Minister was accompanied by Works Affairs Undersecretary Ahmed Al Khayyat, Assistant Undersecretary for Corporate Municipal Services and the Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Construction Projects and Maintenance Raed Al Salah, Construction Projects Director Mariam Amin and several other engineers from the ministry.
“The project takes into account green buildings specifications, power consumption reduction policy and preserving the environment and natural resources,” the Minister said.
A parking area capable of accommodating 67 vehicles is also part of the project.
