Domestic servant allegedly abducted, sold for BD100

 An Asian national reportedly bought a domestic servant for BD100 after she was kidnapped from a public place, according to court files.

The 37-year-old man reportedly held the woman captive for three days, and during this period raped her several times.

The Asian victim alleged that she was kidnapped by a person when she was standing in front of Salmaniya Medical Complex during late hours one day.

And the abductor allegedly sold her to the Asian accused for BD100.

 "I had come to Salmaniya Medical Complex with my sponsor and his family. We had to stay late there, and then my sponsor requested me to go and buy water from the nearest cold store," the Asian woman told prosecutors.

 "The roads were deserted, and as I was about to cross road, a car came and stopped beside me.

 A person got down and held me from the back before dragging me into the car. They gagged me with a cloth and soon I lost consciousness," she added.

 "I woke up and I found myself in an apartment and the Asian man was standing in front of me. He told me he had purchased me from the kidnapper and later raped me."

 The alleged captor reportedly gave the Asian woman a phone to appease her. And she used it to call her friend and the latter informed the matter to police.

 The 37-year-old accused, however, told prosecutors the woman voluntarily stayed in his apartment and had sex with him
