Al Romaihi attends information ministers’ meet
Jeddah : Information Minister Ali bin Mohammed Al Romaihi attended a meeting of information ministers in Jeddah yesterday.
The information ministers underlined the role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia throughout history in serving pilgrims and providing care for them as well as facilitating performance of Hajj and Umrah rituals for all Muslims. They affirmed categorical rejection of attempts to politicise Hajj and use the religious rite for tendentious political goals.
The meeting brought under the spotlight proposals to boost joint cooperation to combat extremism and terrorism and fight the discourse of hatred backed by the Qatari government.
The meeting also highlighted the importance of continuous media coordination to confront all forms of extremism and terrorism.
