Treasury bills oversubscribed by 160 per cent

Manama : This week’s BD70 million issue of Government Treasury Bills has been oversubscribed by 160 per cent.

The bills, carrying a maturity of 91 days, are issued by the CBB, on behalf of the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain.  

The issue date of the bills is 26th July 2017 and the maturity date is 25th October 2017.

The weighted average rate of interest is 2.30 per cent, equivalent to the previous issue on 10th July 2017.

The approximate average price for the issue was 99.422pc with the lowest accepted price being
99.416pc.

This is issue No. 1661 (ISIN BH000261U774) of Government Treasury Bills. With this, the total outstanding value of Government Treasury Bills is BD1.910
billion.
