BIC: AMAIUB team secure first place in Karting
Manama : AMA International University-Bahrain’s (AMAIUB) team won firt place during the recently held Karting 4 Universities event organized by Hamad Behzad’s Middle East Premier Activities and Championships at the Bahrain International Karting Circuit.
The winning team, composed of Rashid Al Muammari and Mohamed Ebrahim, hit the fastest time over 44 laps in an hour-long race and bested the sixteen teams from six Bahrain universities and one university from Qatar. Both Rashid and Mohammed received trophies from the organizers.
The other AMAIUB team members who also joined event include Abdulaziz Bin Safar, Abdulla Al Qutami,Jalal Turk, Ali Showaiter,Shaheen Jassim, Khalifa Al Ghatam, Ali Janahi, Hamad Ijaz,Amro Mohamed, and Taha Imtiaz. All of them were given medals for actively taking part in the first ever Karting 4 Universities.
AMAIUB’s teams were supervised by Kefaya Al Mubarak, the Head of the Office of Student Services and Guidance. This event aimed to encourage the youth to be involved in sports activities, most especially the motorsport in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
