Clewleys win Monday Madness Golf

Father and son Ross and Justin Clewley (29.4 points) won the third competition of the current Coca-Cola Monday Madness Night Golf Series at the Royal Golf Club with a score of 29.4 points. Youngsters Taimur Malik and Yaseen Le Falher (30.7) clinched the runners up spot, while husband and wife Rob and Debbie Lane (31.3) came in third.

Nearest the pin side contests on holes 12 and 16 were won by Ebrahim Al Hashel and Yaseen Le Falher respectively. The duo of Ashley Price and Steve Middleton, who were runners up last week and clinched fourth place this week, lead the series order of merit with six points.

Around 30 golfers competed in this week’s “3 x 3 Rumble” competition which was played under floodlights on the back nine holes of the Club’s Montgomerie championship course. The evening was rounded off with a prize presentation ceremony in the Club’s Members’ Lounge where George Lodge from the Golf Operations Department was on hand to distribute the prizes.

The series takes place every Monday evening and is a nine-hole competition open to non-members and tees off with a 6:30pm shotgun start.
