Inter Hotel cricket: Ritz Carlton (B) win

Manama : The Ritz Carlton (B) defeated Art Rotana Amwaj by 9 runs in second round of matches of The Ritz Carlton Bahrain Sixth Inter Hotel Charity Cricket Tournament 2017 at the Ritz-Carlton Staff Recreation area.

Batting first, Ritz Carlton were bowled out for 49 in six overs with Zeeshan (17 off 8 deliveries, 2x4) top scoring and Sulfikar (one for three) the best of the bowlers, Art Rotana Amwaj were then dismissed for 40 in 5.1 overs despite a brave effort by Amer (18 off 5, 2x6, 1x4) with Nasir (two for eight) the pickof the bowlers.

24 teams are in the fray playing round-robin group matches followed by the knockout stage with the final set for 28 March. This year’s official charity is the Child Wish Society with monies raised through team entries and the sale of food and beverages during the matches.

3) Best Western 69/2 in 6 (Hart 30 off 17, 1x4, 3x6, Ginesh 1/6) bt Intercontinental Regency (B) 66/4 in 6 (Suban 34 off 16, 1x4, 4x6, Manoj 1/9) by 3 runs.
