Inovest CFO to sit on AAIOFI panel
Manama : The Accounting and Auditing Organisation for Islamic Financial Institutions (AAOIFI), an Islamic international autonomous non-for-profit corporate body headquartered in Bahrain, is set to form a Technical Advisory and Interpretation Committee (TAIC). The panel is to be dedicated to the provision of technical support, interpretation of the AAIOFI Accounting Standards, and responses to ongoing technical enquiries.
It was also announced that Inovest CFO Yasser Al Jar will be among the Board Members voted to form the panel. Al Jar has over 18 years’ experience in the fields of assurance services, commercial banking, investment banking, and real estate.
Currently serving as CFO at Inovest, an investment company listed in Bahrain and Kuwait stock exchanges, Al Jar said, “The appointment of an independent panel to ensure efficiency in the implementation of AAIOFI’s accounting standards will create a consolidated touch point for all queries and will enable a faster learning curve for the implementation of accounting standards.”
