‘Egypt has vital role in Bahrain’

Manama : His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, while reviewing his recent visit to Egypt, emphasised the “pivotal” role played by Egypt, strategic weight in supporting Arab issues and status as a cornerstone of regional security.

HM the King highlighted his fruitful talks with the Egyptian President, Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, and the package of agreements, memoranda of understanding and executive programmes signed between the two countries in all fields. 

“All the agreements will help boost the solid strategic bilateral relations for the common interests of the two countries and their people,” remarked HM King Hamad in a meeting with Prime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, and Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, at Al Sakhir Palace here yesterday.

HM King Hamad also informed them about the results of his successful official visit to Egypt. 

Lauding the rousing welcome accorded to him and his accompanying high-profile delegation in Egypt, HM the King stressed that it reflected the civilisation and nobility of Egypt and its people. 

The meeting also reviewed ways to consolidate the national action march to bring about more achievements for the nation and the citizens. 

In this regard, HM King Hamad lauded the efforts exerted by HRH the Prime Minister and HRH the Crown Prince and their constant follow-up on government work, and keenness on developing it to enhance progress.
