Council Reviews Mosque Development Projects

The Supreme Islamic Affairs Council, chaired by Shaikh Abdulla bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Khalifa, held today its third regular session of the Council’s sixth term.

On the occasion of the Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday (PBUH), the Council extended its congratulations and blessings to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, the Royal Family, the government, the people of Bahrain and the Islamic Ummah.

The Council highlighted the occasion as an opportunity to recall the Prophet’s noble life, character and tolerant message, stressing its importance in promoting unity within the Islamic Ummah and strengthening its shared purpose.

During the session, the Council reviewed its plans and programmes for 2027 and 2028, in addition to developments in mosque development projects.

The meeting also discussed two tenders related to mosque maintenance and construction and approved recommendations concerning three projects in the Northern Governorate, including the construction of a new mosque and associated facilities.
