Bahrain, US Discuss Regional Security Cooperation

Meeting reviews regional developments and ways to enhance security cooperation

Lieutenant General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor and Royal Guard Commander, received Lieutenant General Kevin Leahy, Commanding General of the United States Army Central (USARCENT) and Third Army, on Wednesday.

The meeting was attended by Shaikh Khalid bin Ali bin Jaber Al Khalifa, Deputy National Security Advisor.

HH Shaikh Nasser reaffirmed the strength of the longstanding strategic partnership between Bahrain and the United States, highlighting the continued growth of bilateral relations across various fields.

He said the close cooperation between the two countries reflects their shared commitment to advancing mutual interests and fulfilling the aspirations of both nations and peoples.

The meeting also reviewed the latest regional and international developments, as well as the current security situation in the region.

Both sides discussed issues of common interest and explored ways to further enhance coordination and consultation on security challenges to support regional and international peace and stability.
