Ghazwan Joins Hangzhou for Bahrain 3x3 Qualifiers
Bahraini 3x3 player Mohammed Ghazwan will line up for Chinese side Hangzhou Jingwei in two major qualifiers in Bahrain this week, with places at events in the United States and Hungary at stake.
Ghazwan will first play in the Bahrain Open Lite Quest on July 28. The winners will earn a place at the Phoenix Challenger in Arizona on September 19 and 20.
Two days later, he will return for the Bahrain Summer Tour Quest. Organisers have linked the event to the Debrecen Masters in Hungary on August 29 and 30, though the published FIBA event page has yet to confirm that route.
The call-up follows Ghazwan’s run with Bahrain at the FIBA 3x3 Asia Cup qualifiers in Singapore in April. He scored five points against Kazakhstan and also played against India and Hong Kong.
Hangzhou Jingwei sit 15th in the 2026 FIBA 3x3 World Tour standings and won the Shanghai stop earlier this season.
The move gives Ghazwan a place in a proven World Tour side and adds another Bahraini name to the top tier of the fast-growing 3x3 game.
Bahrain will host both events as it seeks a larger role on the international 3x3 calendar.
