BD28.9m In May Tender Awards

Bahrain’s tender and auction awards reached almost BD28.9 million in May, with 70 awards, extensions and change orders issued across 28 government bodies.
Bapco Refining took the largest share, with 10 awards worth BD11.2m. The Supreme Council of Health followed with three awards worth BD5.3m, ahead of the Ministry of Education, which received six worth BD2.45m.
The Electricity and Water Authority received four awards worth BD1.78m, while Bahrain Airport Company had one award worth BD1.69m. The Ministry of Works recorded the highest number of awards, with 10 worth BD1.5m.
Eskan Bank received two awards worth BD1.19m, and the Ministry of Finance and National Economy had two worth BD1.15m. The Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture received four awards worth BD834,000.
Bahrain Polytechnic received one award worth BD640,000, while Bapco Exploration and Production had one worth BD566,000. Gulf Air received two awards worth BD399,000, and Bilaj Al Jazayer Real Estate Development Company had two worth BD306,000.
The Ministry of Information received two awards worth BD218,000. Bapco Gas received one worth BD155,000, the Supreme Council for Environment one worth BD80,000, and the Shura Council two worth BD74,800.
The Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Waqf received one award worth BD71,000, while the Institute of Public Administration had one worth BD66,700. The Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications received one award worth about BD44,000.
The University of Bahrain received four awards worth BD37,000, the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority one worth BD36,000, and Edamah, the Bahrain Real Estate Investment Company, one worth BD39,000.
At the lower end, the Urban Planning and Development Authority received one award worth BD7,000, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs two worth BD5,100, and Customs Affairs one worth BD4,000.
The Ministry of Youth Affairs recorded a downward change order worth BD24,000.
