Bahrain participated in the “Ukraine Recovery 2026” conference in Gdansk, Poland, which gathered international governments, organisations and private sector partners to accelerate efforts supporting Ukraine’s long-term reconstruction.
The Kingdom was represented by Ahmed Ibrahim Al Qarainees, Bahrain’s Ambassador to Germany, at the high-level meeting co-hosted by Poland and Ukraine.
More than 160 agreements were signed, totaling over €10 billion. These included a $3.39 billion arrangement with the World Bank and €3.2 billion under a new European Union financial mechanism, alongside the launch of a major European reconstruction fund and other international support initiatives.
