Capital Governor reviews Ashura preparations in Manama
Capital Governor Shaikh Khalid bin Humood Al Khalifa reviewed preparations at several ma’atams in Manama ahead of the Ashura season, highlighting Bahrain’s commitment to religious freedom, tolerance and peaceful coexistence.
During an inspection visit, Shaikh Khalid reviewed the arrangements in place and followed up on field requirements to ensure necessary preparations are completed for the religious occasion.
He said the royal care extended by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa towards the Ashura season reflects Bahrain’s approach to protecting religious freedoms and respecting diversity.
The governor also praised the support and follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in ensuring smooth organisational and service arrangements.
Shaikh Khalid stressed the Capital Governorate’s commitment to supporting ma’atams in coordination with relevant authorities, while praising the cooperation between ma’atam officials and government bodies.
