Port Security and Coast Guard Conduct Maritime Evacuation Exercise at King Fahad Causeway

The General Directorate of Port Security, in cooperation with the Coast Guard and Masar Group, a company specialising in maritime transport, carried out a maritime evacuation exercise at the King Fahad Causeway as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen emergency preparedness and response capabilities.

The exercise was designed to test approved emergency plans and operational procedures while enhancing coordination and cooperation among participating entities. The initiative aimed to ensure a rapid and effective response to emergency situations and contribute to the protection of lives and property.

During the exercise, participating teams implemented a series of simulated emergency scenarios based on established response plans. The training focused on assessing readiness levels, improving operational efficiency and evaluating the effectiveness of joint coordination mechanisms among the relevant authorities.

The exercise forms part of continuous efforts to enhance the preparedness of security and emergency response teams, strengthen inter-agency cooperation and ensure the highest standards of readiness to deal with various emergency situations.

Officials noted that such exercises play a vital role in developing response capabilities and maintaining a coordinated approach to managing incidents, helping safeguard public safety and critical infrastructure.
