Bahrain, Kuwait Issue Emergency Safety Warnings

Bahrain’s Ministry of Interior announced that emergency sirens were activated due to a potential hazard, urging citizens and residents to remain calm and move to the nearest safe location.

In a statement, the ministry advised the public to avoid obstructing main roads unless absolutely necessary, stressing that the measure was aimed at ensuring public safety during the situation. Authorities said further instructions and guidance would be issued later to help safeguard residents and maintain security.

The announcement came after Kuwait confirmed that its air defense systems had intercepted hostile missile and drone attacks.

According to a statement issued by the General Staff of the Kuwaiti Army, air defense units successfully engaged incoming aerial threats, while sounds of explosions heard in certain areas were the result of interception operations carried out by defense systems.

Official Ministry of Defense spokesperson Colonel Saud Abdulaziz Al-Otaibi urged citizens and residents to strictly follow all security and safety directives issued by authorities.

Kuwaiti officials also warned the public against approaching or touching any debris, shrapnel, or unidentified objects that may have fallen following the interceptions, citing potential risks to public safety.

Authorities in both Bahrain and Kuwait continue to monitor developments closely, with additional updates expected as the situation unfolds.
