Bahrain’s Anti-Human Trafficking Committee Reviews National Strategy and 2025 Achievements

National Committee to Combat Human Trafficking held its regular meeting virtually under the chairmanship of Nibras Talib, Chief Executive of the Labour Market Regulatory Authority and Chairman of the committee.

During the meeting, Talib underscored the importance of continuing efforts to implement plans and initiatives aimed at combating human trafficking, while strengthening protection and prevention systems and enhancing cooperation frameworks to support sustainable national efforts.

The committee discussed the latest developments related to the preparation of Bahrain’s national strategy to combat human trafficking, along with key indicators and statistics reflecting the Kingdom’s ongoing initiatives in the field.

Members also reviewed measures aimed at improving monitoring and response mechanisms, enhancing protection procedures for victims and potential victims, and increasing the efficiency of handling reports and related cases.

The committee further highlighted Bahrain’s achievements outlined in its 2025 annual report, including maintaining the Kingdom’s strong regional and international standing in combating human trafficking.

The report also highlighted progress in developing legislation and policies, implementing awareness and training initiatives, and strengthening cooperation with relevant organisations and authorities.
