National Committee to Combat Human Trafficking Holds Regular Meeting

National Committee to Combat Human Trafficking held its regular meeting via videoconference under the chairmanship of Nibras Talib, Chief Executive of the Labour Market Regulatory Authority and Chairman of the committee.

 

During the meeting, Talib stressed the importance of continuing to implement plans and initiatives aimed at combating human trafficking, while further strengthening protection and prevention systems. He also highlighted the need to enhance partnership frameworks and cooperation efforts to ensure the sustainability of national initiatives in this field.

 

The committee reviewed the latest developments related to the preparation of the national strategy to combat human trafficking, in addition to key indicators and statistics reflecting Bahrain’s ongoing national efforts.

 

Discussions also focused on improving monitoring and response mechanisms, enhancing procedures for protecting victims and potential victims, and increasing the efficiency of handling reports and related cases.

 

The committee further reviewed Bahrain’s key achievements highlighted in its 2025 annual report, including maintaining the Kingdom’s leading regional and international position in combating human trafficking.

 

Other accomplishments included the development of legislation and policies, the implementation of awareness and training initiatives, and the strengthening of cooperation with relevant organisations and stakeholders.
