Top military commander on Tuesday received the annual Hajj mission of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) ahead of its departure to the holy sites in Saudi Arabia.

The meeting was attended by Defence Affairs Minister Lieutenant General Abdullah bin Hassan Al Nuaimi and Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Dhiyab bin Saqr Al Nuaimi.

BDF Commander-in-Chief Field Marshal Sheikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa conveyed greetings from HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and HRH Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa.

He wished the pilgrims success in performing the Hajj rituals alongside other pilgrims in Mecca, praying that they are granted divine blessings and forgiveness.

Shaikh Khalifa said the 51st BDF Hajj mission reflects the leadership’s continued appreciation for the service of military personnel, who are selected annually to perform the pilgrimage in recognition of their dedication to national duty.

During the meeting, he urged the delegation to uphold Islamic values, maintain discipline, and show cooperation and unity with fellow pilgrims.
