Reshuffles airshow supreme committee

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, issued a decree amending the structure of the Supreme Committee overseeing the Bahrain International Airshow, official media reported on Tuesday.
Under the new provisions, the committee will continue to be chaired by Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the personal representative of the King.
The committee’s membership will include the Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications as vice-chairman, the Commander of the Royal Bahraini Air Force, the Undersecretary for Civil Aviation Affairs at the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications, and the Director General of the Bahrain International Airshow. Two additional members with relevant expertise will also be appointed upon nomination by the chairman.
The Bahrain International Airshow is a key regional aviation event held periodically in the kingdom, showcasing developments in civil and military aviation.
The decree takes effect immediately upon issuance and will be published in the Official Gazette.
