A student at Sitra Secondary School for Girls has turned a simple idea into a practical digital solution that is transforming how her school community communicates and shares information.

Ayah Qassim Hassan designed a website to bring school announcements, schedules, and resources into one accessible platform, aiming to solve the problem of scattered information and delayed communication.

“I wanted to create a simple and fast way for students to access everything they need,” she said, explaining that the project was driven by both necessity and her interest in using technology to improve everyday school life.

The platform goes beyond information sharing. It also enables direct communication between students, teachers, and administrators through integrated contact details and Microsoft accounts. “It’s not just a website, it’s a communication tool,” Ayah said.

The site includes class timetables, a school map, announcements, and updates on activities and events, helping students stay informed in real time while encouraging greater engagement in school life.

Support from the student council and guidance from teacher Iman Hani helped shape the project, while peer feedback helped refine its design and functionality.

Ayah credited the Ministry of Education’s focus on digital creativity for encouraging students to explore innovative ideas, adding that her early exposure to digital learning programs helped her develop the necessary skills for the project.
