Shaikh Isa bin Salman highlights youth investment

His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa chaired a meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Isa bin Salman Education Charitable Trust on Wednesday, emphasising the role of education and training in national development.

The meeting, held at Riffa Palace, reviewed the Trust’s programmes and future plans aimed at enhancing opportunities for Bahraini citizens.

Shaikh Isa highlighted the importance of educational initiatives in supporting the Kingdom’s development under the leadership of King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the directives of Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa.

He reaffirmed the Trust’s commitment to providing sustainable, high-quality education programmes to strengthen the global competitiveness of Bahraini talent.

Board members reviewed the Trust’s financial performance for 2024, as well as data on scholarship recipients, pointing to the impact of its initiatives. Discussions also focused on plans to expand scholarship programmes in line with national priorities and labour market demands.

Updates were presented by the Investment, Asset Management and Projects Committee, with a focus on improving efficiency and maximising returns to support the Trust’s objectives.

Shaikh Isa stressed the need to align educational outcomes with key economic sectors while expanding partnerships with public and private institutions, as well as leading international organisations.

He also underscored the importance of strengthening the Trust’s institutional framework to enhance the effectiveness of its programmes, noting that investment in youth remains central to Bahrain’s long-term development.

Concluding the meeting, Shaikh Isa expressed appreciation for the Board’s contributions, praising their role in advancing the Trust’s mission and supporting its continued progress.
