Interior Minister Visits King Fahd Causeway Coast Guard Base
Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Interior Minister, visited the King Fahd Causeway Coast Guard Base to review operational readiness and security efficiency in addressing the repercussions of recent regional developments. He was received by Tariq bin Hassan Al Hassan.
At the start of the visit, the minister conveyed the greetings and appreciation of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Prime Minister, commending the efforts of Coast Guard personnel in strengthening maritime security and protecting Bahrain’s shores.
The minister praised the leadership of His Majesty the King during current regional circumstances, noting that strategic planning and development over the years have strengthened Bahrain’s ability to respond effectively. He also highlighted the government’s approach under His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister in enhancing national readiness and coordination across entities.
He commended the cooperation between the Coast Guard, the Royal Navy of the Bahrain Defence Force, and the National Guard in maintaining maritime safety and security.
The minister emphasised the professionalism of the Coast Guard and its continuous maritime presence, stressing the importance of ongoing development through advanced technology, specialised training, and capacity-building programmes aligned with international standards.
During the visit, he also expressed appreciation to Customs Affairs, Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs, the General Directorate of Ports Security, and all entities operating at the King Fahd Causeway for their role in securing supply chains, ensuring smooth traffic flow, and delivering services with high efficiency.
